Description
The RAM-B-463-TRA1U is the aluminum version of the RAM Track Ball Base with T-bolt for track systems. The base is made of marine-grade aluminum instead of composite, making this variant suitable for heavier-duty applications and harsher conditions. The ball, the locking system, and the T-bolt function identically to the composite version—the difference lies in the base material.
Aluminum vs. Composite
RAM Mounts offers trackball bases in two materials. Products with the RAM prefix (such as this product) have a marine-grade aluminum base. Products with the RAP prefix have a high-strength composite base. Aluminum is stiffer, heavier, and more resistant to extreme conditions. Composite is lighter and sufficient for most everyday applications. Choose the aluminum version for heavy-duty use, professional fleet use, or demanding environments.
Pin-lock and 1/4″-20 threaded hole
The aluminum base features an integrated pin-lock system and a 1/4″-20 threaded hole, providing additional mounting options compared to the composite version. The B-size 1″ rubber ball is embedded in the aluminum base. The stainless steel T-bolt (1/4″-20 x 7/8″) slides into the track, and the rubber friction ring provides grip. To lock it in place, turn the ball clockwise a quarter turn; to release it, turn it counterclockwise.
Compatible with virtually any track system
Fits the RAM Tough-Track 13″ and virtually all other track systems with a similar profile. The B-size ball is compatible with all RAM Mounts B-size double ball arms and mounts.
