Description
The RAP-425-4-A-GOP1 is a compact rail mount for action cameras with a total height of 22.86 cm (9 inches). The set consists of a Tough-Pole track base, a 4-inch extension pole, and a short B-size ball arm with a universal action camera adapter. Its low profile makes this system ideal for use on a kayak, where a taller pole would be cumbersome but sufficient height above the railing is needed for unobstructed footage.
Track base with two ball sizes
The Tough-Pole base features a 1.5-inch C-size ball joint at the bottom that slides into any RAM Tough-Track system or similar track system using the two included T-bolts. The short B-size ball arm at the top connects the pole to the action camera adapter. Thanks to the two ball joints, the camera can be positioned at virtually any angle and in any direction.
Compatible action cameras
The adapter works with the standard GoPro 2-pin and 3-pin fin connection system. Compatible with:
- GoPro Hero — all models, including the Hero 13 Black
- DJI Osmo Action 3, 4, 5 Pro
- Insta360 Ace, Ace Pro, Ace Pro 2
- AKASO Brave and EK Series
- SJCAM SJ Series
- Garmin Virb Series
- All other action cameras with standard fin mounts
In addition to boats and kayaks, the RAP-425-4-A-GOP1 can also be used in a 4×4 or rally vehicle. Its low profile fits on a roll cage or dashboard rail without getting in the way during normal use. Using the track base, you can quickly attach the mount to any RAM Tough-Track already installed in the vehicle and switch between an action camera and other track accessories in a single motion.
