Description
The RAM-B-108BU is a V-shaped clamp base with a 1-inch B-size ball, designed for mounting on round rails and rods with an outside diameter of 1 inch to 2.1 inches (2.54 cm to 5.33 cm). The saddle-shaped plate sits on the rail, after which two included metal clamps are wrapped around it and tightened. A rubber strip protects the rail’s surface from scratches.
Use on roll cages in rally and 4×4
The RAM-B-108BU is popular in the rally and off-road communities because it’s easy to mount on roll cages. Roll cage tubes almost always fall within the clamp’s diameter range of 1 to 2.1 inches, allowing the base to be attached immediately without drilling or modifications. This allows navigation systems, tablets, phones, or camera adapters to be mounted securely and vibration-free on the roll cage at the desired position in the cockpit.
Versatile applications
In addition to roll cages, the RAM-B-108BU works on bull bars, tubular frames of ATVs and UTVs, boat rails, sports bars, and motorcycle frame tubes. Compatible with all B-size RAM Mounts ball arms and holders.
Installation
Place the saddle-shaped plate on the rail. Wrap the included metal clamp band around it. Tighten the screw knob with a screwdriver until the clamp is secure. The rubber strip goes between the metal clamp band and the rail to prevent damage. The 1-inch ball is positioned perpendicular to the base for an optimal adjustment angle when used with a B-size ball arm.
