Description
The RAM X-Grip Tablet with Claw Set is a complete mounting solution for 7″ to 8″ tablets, consisting of a Tough-Claw clamp mount, a long B-size double ball arm, and a spring-loaded X-Grip cradle. The Tough-Claw clamps onto round, square, and irregularly shaped bars and rails without tools—from a motorcycle handlebar to a roll bar or kayak rail.
Tough-Claw: tool-free installation
The Tough-Claw base folds open, attaches to the rod, and locks into place with a single twist of the central knob. No tools required, no mounting bolts. The clamp fits bars and rails with an outer diameter of 0.625″ to 1.14″ (1.59 cm to 2.90 cm)—round, square, and irregular profiles alike. A rubber coating on the clamping jaws protects the surface of the bar and provides extra grip. Removing and reattaching it is just as quick.
X-Grip cradle for 7″–8″ tablets
The spring-loaded X-Grip cradle automatically adjusts to the width of the tablet. Rubber coating on the four grip buttons holds the device securely without damaging the case. All ports and buttons remain fully accessible. Quick-release mechanism via the button on the back of the cradle. A safety tether is included, recommended for outdoor use or when riding a motorcycle or ATV.
Compatible tablets: iPad mini (all generations), Amazon Fire 7, Fire HD 8, Samsung Galaxy Tab models in this size, and other 7″–8″ tablets. Always measure the exact dimensions of your tablet, including the case, before purchasing.
Applications
The Tough-Claw base is specifically designed for situations where permanent mounting is not possible or desirable.
