Description
The RAP-299-3-B-102AU is a ready-to-use mounting system from RAM Mounts that uses a cup holder. The kit comes fully pre-assembled and is ready for immediate use—no tools required, no need to search for loose parts. The cup holder base fits into virtually any vehicle cup holder, providing a stable starting point for mounting a phone, GPS, or other device.
What's in the package?
The system consists of three parts: the RAM-A-CAN II cup holder base, a B-size medium-length double ball arm, and two diamond bases with an AMPS pattern. The cup holder fits into cup holders with an inner diameter of 6.53 cm to 8.89 cm (2.57″ to 3.5″). The included flexible support fins can be trimmed for a better fit in narrower cup holders.
Diamond bases and AMPS compatibility
The two diamond bases measure 6.17 cm x 3.33 cm (2.43″ x 1.31″) with two mounting holes spaced 4.86 cm (1.912″) apart, center to center. This hole pattern is the universal AMPS pattern—the industry standard for navigation mounts. The bases are compatible with all RAM Mounts holders and with virtually all third-party holders that connect to an AMPS plate, including holders for phones, tablets, GPS devices, and action cameras.
Ball-and-socket system
The double ball arm uses the patented RAM Mounts 1″ B-size rubber ball-and-socket system. The arm has adjustment points at both ends, allowing you to achieve virtually any desired position and viewing angle. It is made of high-strength composite material. RAM Mounts offers a lifetime warranty on this product.
